CLAYTON, Scarbrough 2000. When the late Maggie McDowell saw this
plant as a seedling she said, "Sam, you got a winner, it's
different!" Visitors to the garden were delighted with it as
well. The bloom is 5.5" of rose pink with a darker wine band.
The bloom has polytepalous characteristics about 15% to 20% of the
time. We like this dormant flower so much we named it for our granddaughter.
