Willow Brook Acres backyard display beds |
Willow Brook Acres is now an American Hemerocallis Society Display Garden that grew out
of a love of gardening and amazement with the most interesting and
beautiful perennial garden plant, the daylily. Willow Brook Acres is a
state licensed daylily nursery. |
My interest in growing flowers began 20 years ago. That interest grew as
my gardens grew and consumed more and more of our yard. I have been
growing daylilies about 10 years. We love to show the gardens to visitors
and talk with anyone and everyone about all phases of gardening. My
husband John is the grounds keeper and "John of all trades" who keeps
everything in working order. We are members of the American Hemerocallis
Society and The Ohio Daylily Society. I am also proud to serve as a Master Gardener volunteer. |

Growing fields during peak bloom |
The business of selling daylilies came about when I had to decide whether
to destroy the increase, give them away or sell them. Sales grew from
daylilies sold in an occasional garage sale, to mail order sales through
the Willow Brook Acres website. We can and do ship our daylilies to
California. We also sell on sight fresh dug divisions, select clumps and
potted daylilies. |
Garden visitors enjoy seeing 650 named varieties of daylilies in mixed
perennial borders. And they are grown in large nursery beds with
daylilies blooming all in a row. We also grow beds of seedlings we hope
will one day soon be ready for introduction. Some seedlings are priced
for quick sale. |

Daylilies ordered from Willow Brook Acres are fresh dug daylily double fan
divisions or better. A very few of our newer daylilies are priced as
single fans. |
