Another cross which begged to be made, and the results are wonderful. It was difficult to select only the best seedling from such a large crop of wonderful keepers in this line, but we did it!  The qualities of both parents were retained, and even improved. GRAND CANYON SUITE is a very robust grower and sports a big fat six inch bloom. ( even larger on it’s maiden bloom ). The color can only be described as a royal lavender rose. She sports a strong, ruffled edge of white ruffles and pleats, which are very attractive to this color blossom. The bloom is actually more of a lavender color than shown here. A subtle and graduated lighter lavender shaded eyezone can be seen, set off by a bright green throat. Fertile both ways. Big healthy fans increase quickly here, and she will rebloom again in June. Excellent scapes and dark foliage are the hallmarks of a great daylily. I have used the pollen extensively here, and the seedlings already display the robustness of their parent.
