ORDERING INFORMATION/GARDEN SALES
PLANT SIZE: The customary daylily nursery standard of double fans (divisions) will be followed unless indicated otherwise.
SHIPPING COSTS: USPS Priority Mail - $8.00 (1 plant) plus $.50 for each additional plant. International orders are accepted only from Canada and are shipped at actual cost plus $23.00 for a phytosanitary certificate.
SHIPPING DATES: 4/9/07 to 6/11/07 and 7/9/07 to 9/24/07, weather permitting. A 2-3-week range of shipping dates will be appreciated.
GUARANTEE: The gardens are inspected yearly by the State of Tennessee Dept. of Agriculture, and plants are guaranteed to be healthy and true to name. If you are not pleased with the plants received, do not plant; leave labels attached and return immediately.
SUBSTITUTIONS AND BONUS/GIFT PLANTS: Substitutions will not be made without permission and will equal or exceed the value of the plant(s) not available. On orders totaling $50.00 and over (not including shipping), bonuses of approximately 20% are given. Gifts will be chosen from your substitute list when feasible, but this cannot be guaranteed. Even if you do not wish substitutions, gift suggestions are welcome and helpful. Customers with space limitations might wish to suggest an additional fan or plant(s) of something ordered.
GARDEN SALES: I am able to “dig on demand” on occasion, but it may be necessary to arrange later pick-up (or shipment) for on-site purchases. Shipment and, at times, garden sales are suspended during peak bloom to allow time for hybridizing activities (my attempts to create new cultivars worthy of registration). For a few weeks, my time (mornings, especially) is spent carefully viewing and documenting all currently blooming seedlings. In addition, blooms must be pollinated to create seeds for the next year’s crop.
CUSTOMIZED COLLECTIONS/GIFT CERTIFICATES: If you are unsure of what to order (maybe you are new to daylilies), I try to be both generous and careful if you specify an amount you wish to spend, possibly some colors and types of blooms you like and allow me to put together a collection for you. Also, gift certificates may be purchased and can be mailed to a recipient with a catalog.
